I needed some "me time" and did this sort of painting,
in Photoshop Cs5 using the Artistic and Texture filters, dabs of color and blending modes.
The inset is the original rose from the net.

Done in Photoshop CS5 “Painting with Layer Styles”.

This is a nice easy and fun technique I learnt from another forum.

Make the background color any color you desire, I chose black.

Select some of your favourite brushes and layer styles.

Make a few new layers and apply a layer style to each layer but you will see nothing yet.

The magic only begins once you start using the brushes.

For additional effects use the blending modes, and vary the opacity.

Spent some time doodling trying to paint.

This was a bit time consuming as I used the Mixer Brush and filters.

A Watercolor Painting done in ArtRage, the new version 4.5

I enjoyed using the Demo Version, but most of the Goodies and new features were grayed out.

So I got the full version.

Being artists in the true sense of the word, I think sisters Aisha and Mabsoota will love this program.

I just doodle, use the stencils, and stickers. Thumbs Up

A few more paintings done in the new version of ArtRage. This version is a great improvement to the last one I used ArtRage 2.5 Shout

I spent about 2 weeks watching tutorials and downloading a few of the many freebies available. The forums https://forums.artrage.com are very helpful too-full of tips and suggestions. Most of the freebies come in an arpack https://forums.artrage.com/forumdisplay.php?20-Art-Supplies and get installed in the relative folder, which is a very helpful feature.

The cool aspect is that we can load Photoshop brushes into the program, like the clouds brush I used in the 1st image.

I also like the Paint Symmetrical option it’s so cool, and the Text Tool.

This program is truly fabulous; I would have spent more time on the forum if I knew how to paint and draw, but with my doodles I think I can come up with some cool backgrounds for my graphics and doodling is fun and relaxing. Insha Allah later I will browse the forums for more stickers, they are fun to use.

I think both Sisters Aisha and Mabsoota will enjoy this program. pompoms
